About the event
The Iowa Women’s Woodland Stewardship Network is for women who are interested in learning more about how to steward their woodlands. Appropriate audience is women who own forest land (either solo or in partnerships) and want to get more involved in understanding and participating in active management of the land. Knowledge is power, and the purpose of this group is to give women knowledge and connections. Sound interesting? Consider joining us! Here's your invitation:
Join us for a day of socializing and hands-on forest management. Dive deeper into the world of forest stewardship with discussion and demonstrations on invasive species removal and forest stand improvement. Enjoy opportunities to meet other female forest stewards and professional resources. Take advantage of the opportunity to see recent, ongoing, and planned forest management being done by local private landowner, Linda Haugen, and her husband.

Approximately 4 hours will be spent outdoors with about 1 mile of walking on hilly terrain, weather permitting.
This event is offered at no cost thanks to a US Forest Service Grant. Participants MUST register due to space limitations.
