    Come join us at Iowisota to learn how maple syrup is made! This is a hands-on demonstration and learning opportunity; No cost to attend. There will be opportunity to make a donation to cover cost of bottled syrup you wish to take home with you. We expect to schedule demonstrations throughout March.

    Grow your own gourmet mushrooms! In this hands-on workshop, you will learn biology and methods to grow Shiitake mushrooms. You will inoculate (with Shiitake spawn) and take your own log home. All supplies and materials provided. Cost is $60.

    1:00- 3:00. Join us on Saturday May 16, 2026, to experience an old-time soda fountain (with natural ingredients) and to learn how to make wildcrafted vinegars and oxymels/shrubs. We will learn how to use vinegars creatively in daily life. You will make and take a quart of your own vinegar.
