We will learn different ways to crack and prepare black walnuts, then crack the walnuts and use maple syrup to make candied black walnuts. Three nut/tree workshops offered: Nutcracker Sweet, Acorns!, and Barking up the Right Tree. Attend any or all of them. Workshop cost: free-will donation. Lodging is available on-site, but you needn't stay here to participate.

Sat, Nov 14Iowisota Retreat and Education CenterNovember 14, 2-4 pm. In this 2-hour session you will make your own custom stoneware charcuterie platter. Linda will guide you through the process, then she will fire and glaze your piece for you to pick up later.
Participant Waiver
All activities that take place in the outdoors (and indoors!) incur some risk of bodily harm. We do our best to minimize risk, but we also trust that participants will be aware of their own physical limitations and will not choose to participate in activities that are outside of their abilities. We ask participants to sign a waiver before any Iowisota activity/event. If you would like to read the waiver that you will be asked to sign, you can download a copy below.
There is also a waiver for retreats and overnight lodging. That waiver is on the lodging page.
