Historian Christine Wellman Hall will share insights on the human history of the Upper Mississippi River Valley, from first nations to present time. Light refreshments (tea/coffee and cookies). Optional short hike after session. Cost is by donation.

Join guest expert Samuel Thayer for a Summer Foraging Workshop along the bluffs of the Mississippi River in northeast Iowa. Includes lunch. Optional Mississippi River backwater canoe paddle on Sunday morning to view and discuss wetland plants and ecosystems.
